3rd day in China
Still at Hangzhou
for the hangzhous, to date with someone in their language is called kao wei er...and to drink tea ...is chi cha...funny rite..cuz we say he cha ...they say chi cha(eat tea??)
then in hangzhou and suzhou there is a common phrase known by all citizens...Shang you tian tang Xia you shu hang...anyway, this is juz for common knowledge..
For the nx destination, by boat, we travel around Xi hu(west river)...took some photos there...
Then when we reached there, we went to Hua Gang park..also to see those beautiful flowers, then actually the tour guide there, called xiao mi....said that there were peacocks...in a PARK! and tt's really funny..however, all of us did not get to c the peacocks as they went to take photos with the brides!! Many people went there to take wedding photos..lolz
Next destination ..we went to Nan Jing...it was so far the longest journey we went to , by bus...took a bt 5 hours..After reaching there, we juz stayed in the hotel and slept till the next day..
4th day in Chinaearly in the morning...we all went to Da Du Sha Ji nian Guan..Japanese massacred China citizens museum
..heard all those cruel and inhumane deeds that the jap had done...and saw the bones of a 2 year old kid...not many survived...yet the survivors' names, were all craved on the big concrete wall...
Then went to c Chang Jing qiao( bridge), the Chang jiang river is yellow in colour...many who build this bridge for transportation, had to be half-submerged in the river for years till the bridge was completed..therefore when they got themselves up on land, their legs were rotten...and they still lived as senior citizens till now..with the government providing them with the essentials to live on..
With this, i got to know the story of Kong Liang, without wealth but living in poverty, he used up all his savings to help build the Chang Jiang bridge , as his father had a tragic death when building this bridge..Kong Liang was an artistic crystal maker..he was always on the roadside doing his arts and contributing to the society yet no one offers a help to him..Until one day, Lee Kuan Yew came to visit China, he saw a familiar face and came to shake hand with him, many were curious abt who the man(Kong Liang) was, as he dressed ordinarily, not wanting to expose his identity..if u ask me how Lee Kuan Yew know abt it, i seriously donno...but whatever it is, Kong liang became famous and I GOT TO SEE HIM BEFORE HE WAS going TO retire! LOLX...i saw his crystals ..the drawings was painted reversely..so that the outside appear to be the front ..my family was impressed, we decided to buy one of his artwork..a medium sized crystal..even when u drop, it will not break..
Then went to Song Mei Lin Bie Shu( Song mei lin's villa)..mm, hope that all of u remembered that song mei lin died juz 2 years ago in America...she was i think 80-90+ years old..the villa was juz an old kind of villa, yet it was kind of big..a tea drinking room, a BIG toilet, and a study place...bla bla bla...
Then went to the shopping centre of Nanjing which specialised in sellinh Jades..i was not interested and sat there for long...until we went to Wu Xi and stayed there till the next day
5th day in ChinaIn Wu Xi, we will be visiting the Tai hu( Tai river), and got to know that Xi Shi's husband is called Fan Li
Then went to a pearl factory..called bao wan zhen zhu chang...donno la..
They were selling Tai hu pearls..got necklace, earriingss...and in the first position, Gold is the most expensive and valuable, followed by black, purple,pink and then white..we are onli interested with the pearl cream..it whitens, tenders and smoothen the face..prevents wrinkles..haha...cuz the singaporean tour guide that guided us,called Johnnny, told mum it was damn good, and my mum bought it..but i also got use..:p
Then we all went to this tea museum..haix..go beijing also like that, come to Wu xi also like that...tea tea tea..they always say how good the tea is, how genuine it is..and wanted we all to buy...but we din buy..
Next destination was SHANGHAI...finally...haha..we will stay there for the next 3 days..no shifting liao
6th day in China
We arrived at Song Qin Lin's burial place..donno how to phrase it..lolx...She was Song mei Lin's elder sis..There were actually 3 sisters..Song Ai Lin-the eldest..who loves money..Song Qin Lin-2nd eldest..who loves the citizens and family..Song Mei Lin-the youngest, who loves position..
Song Qin Lin's husband was Sun zhong shan...his husband died at abt 30+ years old and she did not have any children...She did not remarry and died when she was 80-90+...haha, cannot remember the age..She contributed alot to the society and therefore sun zhong shan's statue was build in her burial place..together with her parents..during her generation, her parents forbid both of them to be together as sun zhong shan was poor..however, or although she loves her family, she also loves sun zhong shan,therefore she leaves home and married Sun Zhong shan..till her deathbed, she wanted to be filial to her parents and therefore got buried juz beside them..
After this, we went to a museum which sells PI XIU..some symbolize peace, some symbolize fortune..good luck in studies..wadso ever..then Kokkian got one which is for studies de..and i got a pink one which is for peace..
It was China's Fengshui aspect..i donno how to described , it looks like an animal but it was NOT...
Then went to Xiang yang Lu..which sells fake goods..(known for fake ones)..something like pasar malam..then go there buy things very tiring, i have to bargain until like i cannot catch a breath already then they sell me..Fun yet tiring...
After that we went to NanJing Lu..it was juz like Orchard road of Singapore..in fact, i felt that there were more things to shop in Orchard..maybe becuz we went to china..during authum season..many were selling winter clothes..shopping centres and selling ex things
Then we went to Cheng huang miao..shopping again..but i din buy anything..cuz that side cannot bargain..lolx.
Then went to Xin da cheng( new city)?? if i can translate then i translate lor..
It was juz a bar paradise..like all those pubs, bar and cafe..
For the last two days( 7th and 8th day in China)It was FREE-EASY..our family got to travel our own..sianzzzzz...very sianz...although got shop and buy things, i still prefer the times when my friends and i were in beiJIng..cuz it was like the more ppl the merrier..
And that's the end of my holiday in China! i will check whether my photos can be transferred into the com..haiz...i think my com, no hope liao
